Our neighbour Giovanni is the capo of Arrosteria Borgo Antico, every night full with locals.
Cibus, the most culinary restaurant of Ceglie, is only a 2 minutes walk away from Palazzo Mele.
Il Brillo Parlante, an italian wine bar with nice terrace is just around the corner.
The Adriatic Sea is a 20 minute drive away from Palazzo Mele. Our favourite place to take a dip is Torre Pozelle.
And only a 45 kilometer drive to the Ionian Sea. In the morning you just decide to which sea you want to go today!
Or you go to Lecce, just a 80 kilometers drive through beautiful Puglia, spend a day and be mesmerised by its beauty.

about Ceglie Messapica
Ceglie Messapica is a small town with a long history.
In ancient Greece the name was Kailia, originating from Kalòs which means nice place. And of course we agree with this meaning!
Our neighbour city, Ostuni, is better known and a real touristic hotspot.
We just like Ceglie because it is much smaller and you are really in the middle of Italian life.
You don’t come to Ceglie Messapica for shopping.
You come to Ceglie to have your cappuccino in the morning at the local cafe.
Take some biscotti cegliese, the local cookie. Sit on the terrace and enjoy watching people. Relax!
You know you will have a great dinner tonite somewhere in Ceglie!
Brindisi airport is 40 km. away from Ceglie Messapica.
The airport of Bari is a bit further, but also within easy reach.
The capital of the world famous trullis, Alberobello is an great drive through Valle d’Itria,
the most beautiful landscape in Puglia.
Or wander through the historic centre of Taranto with its greeks ruins and the labyrinth of narrow streets.
